Every student shall receive a statement of participation at the end of the course. The course is accredited with 4 ECTS by the University of Zagreb and Malmö University.

Course venue: Inter University Centre (IUC) Dubrovnik, Don Frana Bulića 4, Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The course starts on Monday at 9:30 AM and ends on Friday at 4 PM.

Course participation fee: €55. To be paid directly to IUC upon arrival at the course or before the course starts. The fee can be paid by cash in the IUC Secretariat, or by card or bank transfer before the course.

Each participant will be expected to present their research project in no more than 15 minutes, focusing on the aspects they would most like discussed by the course teachers and other participants.  All participants are also invited to prepare the questions they would like the course teachers to answer regarding various academic skills, the next steps or career in academia or any other element on which guidance would be welcome. Finally, all participants are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Reading list prepared by the course teachers before the course starts.

FUNDING OPTIONS

Erasmus+ training opportunities

If you are staff at an eligible higher education institution, you can apply for Erasmus+ training at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which is the receiving organization for the course “Sexuality and Sexual Health in the 21st century”. This grant provides a contribution to your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad.

The application must be submitted by your institution. If accepted to the course, please contact the international or Erasmus+ office of your higher education institution as soon as possible to initiate the signing of the Mobility agreement between your institution and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Erasmus+ short-term doctoral mobility

If you are not eligible for Erasmus+ training, you may find your Erasmus+ options for short-term doctoral mobility more limited as they may depend on the existence of a pre-existing agreement between your institution and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (you can refer to your institution’s list of partner universities to find out if this is the case). In order to investigate your options, it is best to inquire directly at the international or Erasmus+ office of your higher education institution.

IUC Scholarships

Students from Croatian higher education and scientific institutions are eligible for the IUC scholarship by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education. Scholarships are covering travel expenses in Croatia (mostly return plane ticket) and half board accommodation during the stay in Dubrovnik.  Please note that you will be required to pay the IUC participation fees even in case you receive the IUC scholarship. If accepted to the course and there are places available, you will be informed by the course directors on how to apply for this scholarship.

Students from South-East Europe may be eligible for IUC South-East European Scholarships. Scholarships are covering half board accommodation during the stay in Dubrovnik. Some groups of participants may also be eligible to receive partial compensation for travel expenses and the expenses of visa, if necessary. If accepted to the course, the application for these funds will be your responsibility.

For other funding opportunities, please consult resources available at your institution or from national institutions coordinating international mobility schemes.
